How to insert a virtual disk
You will need
- Daemon Tools Pro
Launch Daemon Tools from the taskbar, via the Start menu or by clicking the DTPro.exe file icon in the directory with the installed program. In the program window in the upper menu bar, select the Tools section by clicking on it with the left mouse button. In the menu that opens, call the Add IDE Virtual Drive command (add an IDE virtual disk) or click the corresponding icon on the control panel. If the panel with icons is not displayed, click on it with the right mouse button and check the box Basic with a marker. Wait until the application creates a new virtual disk - in the lower part of the window you will see a thumbnail of the newly created virtual disk.
Right-click the virtual disk icon or double-click it with the left mouse button. While the disk is empty, it will be displayed as Empty. In the drop-down menu, select the command Mount Image (mount image). Specify the path to the file containing the disk image (.mds, .iso, and so on).Select the file so that its name appears in the File name line and click the Open button. Wait until the application mounts the disk image to your virtual disk. When the operation is completed, the virtual disk you created will change its appearance and name.
Close the program window by clicking the X in the upper right corner of the window, or in the top menu bar, select Exit from the File item. Confirm the action by clicking the Yes button in the window with the question “Are you sure you want to exit?” (Are you sure you want to exit). Open My Computer. Along with local and removable disks on the computer, you will see the newly created virtual disk with the image mounted on it. Next, work with it as with a regular disk: if autorun is provided, click the icon with the left mouse button, if you want to open the disk for viewing, right-click on its icon and select the "Open" command.
